We spotted our very first swallow of the season this morning, which is great news! This isn’t he, I was actually driving to work and almost crashed as the cheeky little devil caught my eye and then diverted my gaze from the road. This is a picture of one from last year, I wonder if he’ll be back again this summer?
The arrival of the swallows means spring is most definitely here, as they travel over from Africa on the warm Saharan currents. Which doesn’t mean it’s exactly roasty toasty in Cornwall just yet, but there is a distinctly spring-like feel in the air.
