pretty, muddy, cornish puddles

Early morning dog walk on a cold March day

Such a beautiful morning down here in Cornwall. Out walking the dog as per normal at about 7.30am this morning, with the sun low in a huge blue sky and banks of golden gorse glowing along the sides of the lane.

We very rarely get frost down here and there wasn’t one this morning. But it was cold enough to freeze the puddles. Which is good news for me, because it means the black dog stays mud free. A joy after almost 8 months non stop battling with the unfortunate relationship between a mucky dog and a white house.

And doesn’t a muddy puddle look so much prettier when it’s frozen?
