We stumbled across quite an unusual sight on our morning walk today. A fire engine stuck in our tiny lane. This isn’t the first time we’ve found members of the emergency services lost in our neck of the woods. The Cornish police and fire fighters seem very reluctant to use OS maps and the engine had followed the lanes right the way down to a dog leg, so was having to reverse back up about 1 mile of bridle path.
Luckily they weren’t on call for a life or death emergency and a smaller fire truck stopped me for directions later on in the walk. They didn’t have a map either. How does that saying going? Once is a mistake, twice is foolish?
All very exciting for 7.15am!
